Volunteer Swap in Malta

St John Malta, founded in 1882, is a voluntary, humanitarian organisation working across the Maltese Islands to provide first aid training together with first aid and rescue services.

A 21km half marathon is also included on the same route up to the finish line in the old city of Vittoriosa, which was none other than the first capital city of the island in the time of the Knights of St John, before the city of Valletta was established.

Project

We are looking for volunteers to join us for first aid cover at the upcoming Ultra Malta Trail, an annual event that celebrates the rugged beauty of Malta’s natural landscapes. This trail run offers participants an unforgettable experience through coastal paths, historic sites, and challenging terrains. Duration of the event is approximately 13 hours. The terrain is entirely off-road. Support Vehicles include cycling bikes, quad bikes and 4×4 vehicles.

The setup includes a First Aid Post at the finish line and ambulances positioned along accessible points of the route. This will be a long and demanding duty, but also a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a major event and showcase our commitment to community safety.
