On 12th April, representatives from Austria, Denmark, Malta and the Netherlands were hosted by our French member in its main office in Paris. Johanniter Germany and the St John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital Group participated online.
In March, the TeamUP consortium participated in two significant training exercises organized by the Fire Department of Dortmund (FDDO), Germany.
From 27th – 29th December 2023, Johanniter Germany provided first aid services at the Ski Jump World Cup in Oberstdorf, Germany. The German first-aiders were supported by six volunteers from Austria and one from St John Ambulance England.
From 24th to 26th January 2024, the consortium of the TeamUP project held its Kick-off Meeting in Athens, Greece
In 2023, our Volunteer Swap programme offered the record number of 48 opportunities for volunteers to join their colleagues abroad and participate in events and social activities.
In the last week of December, Johanniter Nederland organised holidays for lonely older people who cannot afford to go celebrate the holidays during the festive season.
For the first time, there is now a European-wide First Aid Manual intended for young people (age range 13 to 17 years inclusive).
The JOIN Clinical Working Group met in London just before the publication of the European First Aid Manual for Young People.
