Volunteer Swap in Estonia

Summer Camp for Estonians with disabilities

The Project

The annual Summer Camp aims to offer a joyful time to people with disabilities away from their everyday routine. It is also a valuable experience of social commitment and dedication for the volunteers.

Estonians with disabilities enjoy an extraordinary week full of excursions, handicrafts, sports, but first and foremost of appreciation and assistance. The overall Johanniter spirit and enthusiasm of volunteers from Finland, Sweden, Estonia, Lithuania, Germany, the Netherlands, France, England and Canada contribute to the enduring success of the camp, creating a joyful atmosphere of charity and altruism.

The Volunteer

The programme consists of numerous different activities in which one on one care of the guests is central. The volunteers will arrive on 23rd July for an introduction to the camp and general preparations for the camp week. The guests will arrive the following day. The Camp ends on 30th July with the departure of the guests. Volunteers can choose to depart on 30th July, but for those who want, there is the possibility to stay for the Saturday night in Tallinn. That evening, the volunteers can have their farewell party and enjoy Tallinn’s nightlife.
