Founded in 2010, Johanniter Finland is the youngest member of JOIN. Its services include humanitarian aid and care for the elderly, sick and needy, as well as first aid and CPR training. Its volunteers also provide care and relief work.
Espoo Rantamaraton
The Project
The Espoo Rantamarton is a running event on the beautiful Espoo Rantarait, at the seaside. Over 7000 runners have already registered to test the renewed runner-friendly routes along seashores. Find all details at https://www.rantamaraton.fi/in-english/
Our Finish member provides medical coverage and first aid to the runners and spectators.
The Volunteer
The volunteers will join the team of Johanniter Finland in ensuring medical coverage of the sporting event.
Where?
Otaniemi, Espoo, Finland
When?
From 17th to 20th September 2026.
Arrival: Thursday 17th September. Friday 18th September: building the venues medical facilities and getting to know coworkers. Saturday 19th September: Marathon. Sunday 20th September: sightseeing Espoo, Helsinki and departure.
Who can apply?
All volunteers of JOIN members aged over 20.
Qualification as advanced first aider
Languages: English, Finnish or Swedish.

Accommodation, transportation, meals and good company will be offered
